Monitoring suitability depends on the complete application

SafyrOPC Instrument can support continuous or periodic cleanroom monitoring strategies. Suitability for a specific ISO 14644 or GMP application depends on the complete sampling plan, monitoring architecture, sample volume, monitoring locations and applicable requirements.

ISO 21501-4 calibration should not be interpreted as universal compliance with every cleanroom or GMP monitoring application.

FAQ

Sensor SafyrOPC is the OEM particle-counting module intended for integration by equipment manufacturers. SafyrOPC Instrument is the complete, ready-to-use device built around that module, with its own power, communication and enclosure for direct deployment.

Yes. Paired with its LoRa gateway, SafyrOPC Instrument can operate continuously between periodic classifications. Its role in a specific monitoring architecture still depends on the applicable sampling plan and requirements.

ISO 21501-4 defines how a light-scattering particle counter is calibrated and verified: particle-size channels, counting efficiency, sampling flow and related metrological performance. The integrated Sensor SafyrOPC module is individually calibrated to this standard.

Yes. Multiple instruments can be deployed across rooms or process areas and communicate over LoRa to a shared gateway for a distributed monitoring architecture.

SafyrOPC Instrument communicates with a dedicated LoRa gateway over a proprietary protocol, supporting long-range, low-power data transmission from fixed or portable units to a central collection point.

Depending on the energy block, SafyrOPC Instrument runs up to 12 hours (SB model) or up to 168 hours (AB168 model) on battery, or continuously on mains power.

Yes. Its materials are compatible with surface disinfectants applied by wiping and it is resistant to airborne H₂O₂ decontamination.

Recalibration frequency depends on usage intensity, environmental conditions and the applicable quality system. Contact TERA Sensor to define a recalibration interval suited to your monitoring programme.
