In-duct particulate matter monitoring probe for HVAC and filtration systems
PMDuct is a complete particulate matter monitoring probe designed for direct installation in HVAC, filtration and industrial air-handling systems.
It integrates NextPM Advanced with a controlled sampling architecture so that the airflow through the sensing element can be managed independently from the main duct airflow.
The probe provides PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 measurements together with temperature and relative humidity, with Modbus RS485 RTU communication for integration into industrial monitoring and control systems.
In HVAC ducts, pressure, air velocity and installation geometry can influence the sampling conditions seen by a particle sensor.
PMDuct uses a dedicated pump-based sampling architecture so that the measurement flow can be controlled separately from the main duct airflow.
A dedicated pump generates the measurement flow independently from the main duct airflow.

NextPM Advanced is an OEM sensing architecture with an external pump, intended for manufacturers designing their own sampling system. PMDuct is a complete in-duct probe built around NextPM Advanced, with its own enclosure, controlled sampling path and Modbus RS485 RTU communication, ready for direct installation.
A dedicated pump generates the measurement flow independently from the main duct airflow, so that duct pressure and air velocity do not directly dictate the sampling conditions seen by the sensing element.
Pressure and air velocity in a duct can influence the flow reaching a directly exposed sensor. PMDuct's pump-based sampling manages this influence rather than eliminating it entirely; installation conditions should still be considered when interpreting the data.
PMDuct measures PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 mass concentrations, together with temperature and relative humidity.
PMDuct covers a concentration range of 0 to 10,000 µg/m³, based on the NextPM Advanced sensing architecture.
Yes. PMDuct communicates over Modbus RS485 RTU, which integrates directly into building management and SCADA systems.
Yes. PMDuct can be installed at different points in a filtration or air-treatment system to compare particle conditions before and after filtration stages, supporting investigation rather than automated pass/fail certification.
